Secondary esiRNAs (esiSEC)

The product esiSEC represents a secondary silencing-trigger targeting a different region than the primary esiRNA. esiSECs are valuable controls for the validation of RNAi phenotypes induced by primary esiRNAs.

esiSEC standard scales are 20 µg or 50 µg.

Larger scales are available upon request. Contact us.

Specifications

All esiSECs targeting protein-coding genes were designed based on the sequence annotations from the ENSEMBL database.

Quality Control: esiSECs are designed using the DEQOR design algorithm. The PCR products used for production are tested via gel electrophoresis, and identity is confirmed by DNA sequencing. Quality of esiSECs is validated by gel electrophoresis and concentrations are determined by measuring OD260 or fluorescence intensity.

Purification: RNaseIII-digested products are purified via column purification using anion-exchange chromatography, precipitated with isopropanol and washed with ethanol.

Format: All esiSEC are delivered as a dried product at room temperature. The pellet may not be visible. Please centrifuge the tube prior to opening. For information on how to resuspend the pellet check the Tools and Resource section of our homepage

Storage and Stability: esiRNAs stored at -20°C are stable for 2 years. No decrease in stability was observed after 12 freeze/thaw cycles.

Shipment: Shipped at room temperature, in individual tubes.

Technical Data Sheet: esiSEC will be delivered with a technical data sheet, which includes the esiSEC ID number, organism, amount (µg), concentration, lot #, and target sequence.
